Warren's Lobster House: Reviews & Ratings
I came here years ago. I was told the restaurant closed for 2 yrs because of flooding. They are under new ownership. Kathleen is marvelous the new owner! She is very down to earth and gracious. The restaurant is wonderful. Great indoor space. A wonderful upcoming outdoor space. Nice bar. Alex the bartender is great very personable. The food is great. The drinks are nice. Can't say anything bad about this place. I am glad this place is open, and the new owners are excited about this new adventure.
Warrens Seafood and More in Kittery, ME is known for its impressively extensive salad bar—complete with chilled plates —so we went for brunch specifically to try the famous “Claw-sal” Bloody Mary. While we waited for our entrées, he dove into the salad bar (no regrets). I ordered the lobster Benedict, & he went with the steak & egg bowl, adding lobster because… Maine. Our waiter, Chris, took great care of us, & we loved the restaurant’s vintage feel, especially paired with the lovely view. A classic spot that totally lives up to the hype.
The salad bar was great . But the fried clams weren't that great . My husband said the fisherman platter was delicious and a ton of shrimp . He didn't really like the clams either. But that salad bar is the boob . About 40 dollars a person . No alcohol drinks . Also there was an awesome guitarist singer was great
Have known about this staple for a few years now but finally decided to stop in. All I have to say is wow. The food was delicious. We were offered the salad bar and unlimited soup with our main entrees as well. But what really stood out was the extremely amazing service we received. Everyone was working together was so on top of everything and truly just genuinely nice which you don’t see much anymore. I went to the salad bar to grab pumpkin bread (which they are known for) and there wasn’t any left so I was telling my husband there was no more. When I tell you immediately a staff member overheard me and asked what they are out of. He had pumpkin bread out within seconds. We will be coming back thank you all for the amazing lunch experience!
We visited on Christmas Eve after enjoying the light show at Sandy Hill Farm. I was a little concerned that it was not going to be as good a the original Warren's, but honestly, surprisingly impressed! The soup & salad bar and pumpkin bread did not disappoint. I had the salmon and it was absolutely delicious. They were a little understaffed, but then again there were not to many diners. Our server was sweet though. Maybe not to many eating out on Christmas Eve. We'll be back!
Warren’s Seafood and More This Thanksgiving my daughter, and I decided to eat out for dinner. After seeing that Warren’s was going to be open for Thanksgiving it was a no-brainer and we decided to go there. It was our first visit since it reopened under new ownership. It did not disappoint. It was quiet when we went for our 5pm reservation but I planned it this way knowing most like to eat earlier on this day. Glad we did because we were told it was a rush earlier. Amanda our server was fantastic. We were visited by the owners and their daughter who visited tables in her lobster costume. Unfortunately she had to see me devouring her two brothers Larry and Leroy I know people are still missing some of their favorites like the dill dressing, which is mine and a cheese spread. They did tell me that they have the recipe for the dill dressing and the ingredients and they will start making it up. Not so sure about the cheese spread but I know they’re working on a lot of requests. It just takes time. I did not see many items that were missing. I know that was a complaint early on, but like I said another posts this is their restaurant. Even though it’s Warren’s Seafood they still have a right to carve out their own establishment, even if that offends some people who were diehard fans of the original Warrens. As far as the food, the salad bar to me again did not disappoint. The pumpkin bread is back so for anyone who missed it, your wish was granted. I had wedding soup, which very good. We had shrimp cocktail which the shrimp were big and delicious. I chose the twin lobsters which I thought I would take one home, but I devoured both. My daughter had the fisherman‘s platter which was huge and could’ve easily fed 2 to 4 people depending on your appetite. Because my daughter had salad and such beforehand, she didn’t have a big appetite after so we took most of it home which is a bonus cause then we have leftovers. There was no room for dessert unfortunately. I hope everyone who loved Warrens goes for a visit, you will be well taken care of and filled with the same nostalgia as before. The new owners are wonderful and really want this to be a success.
We drove up from Boston for the new Warrens and while we knew it would be slightly different, the menus seemed similar enough that we’d still be able to get steamed lobsters with the salad bar. Surprise: there is only a brunch menu until 1pm. And there is no kids menu. We got the lobster Benedict and the lobster tacos. Both tasted good and were a reasonable value. The food was good but it seems like there are some kinks that the restaurant needs to figure out still. Ex We ordered 2 Bloody Marys that didn’t arrive until after we were well done with our meal. Overall, a warning that we couldn’t get a whole lobster would have nice but after the disappointment, it was a good meal.
Great location right over the bridge from Badger Island. We were looking for steamed lobster and it fill the bill perfectly. Good was great and they have a nice salad bar. Service was very friendly. Will be back!
